The idea for Oaktreeidea.com was born in January of 2003, during a road trip from South Carolina to Ohio. The newest version of Oaktreeidea.com was founded in March of 2006.

My Oaktree is your personal launching pad for the site. Here, you can edit your profile, add pictures to your photo book, add friends to your profile, write blog entries and much more.

Photo Rocket News is the place where you picture the story! Every event has a visual story to tell and now you have the opportunity to tell it. Members will have the ability to be the photo journalist, to post the images that tell the story, and report the world's news through a visual perspective.

Impact Groups is the official launching pad of your next big idea. Here, you will have the tools to share and grow your world changing idea. Simply stated, within Impact Projects, you have the ability to launch a simple thought into a positive world changing movement!

Newswire gives members the ability to search the entire site, the web and several media outlets for current breaking news.
